FTE Salary: up to £29,118.00 (Salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience)  

Actual Salary: up to £18,660.36
Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time, Term Time only
Working Hours: 29.6 hours per week, 36 weeks per year

The successful candidate will assess individual learners in early years and primary settings on the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner and T level in Education and Early Years courses.  To support and document the assessment process.  To liaise with the teaching team and the setting supervisor.

You will be working alongside members of the Education and Early Years Team.  As part of SGS College we are responsible for ensuring that our staff receive high quality of personal and professional development, enabling us to deliver competent and capable workforce providing outstanding education.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • To assess learners on Level 2 and 3 courses on their industry placement in early years and primary settings.
  • To provide feedback and support to the learners verbally, using Office 365 Teams and promonitor systems.
  • To communicate with the industry placement settings supervisor.
  • To maintain accurate records of candidate progress, tracking and
  • To record learners progress using the college systems.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree in Early Years/Childhood Studies/Education.
  • Assessing qualification.
  • Worked in Early Years for 5 years.

Desirable

  • Experience of working with 16 – 19 years of age.
  • Knowledge of Level 2 Diploma Early Years Practitioner and T Level in Education and Early Years/Teaching Assistant.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages Office 365
    Evidence of continuous professional development
