Covid Update

On Tuesday 29 March, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Sajid Javid, set out the next steps for living with COVID-19 in England from Friday 1 April.

Updated guidance advises:

  • Adults with the symptoms of a respiratory infection, and who have a high temperature or feel unwell, should try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people until they feel well enough to resume normal activities and no longer have a high temperature.
  • Children and young people who are unwell and have a high temperature should stay at home and avoid contact with other people. They can return to college when they no longer have a high temperature, and are well enough to attend.
  • Adults with a positive COVID-19 test result should try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for 5 days, which is when they are most infectious. For children and young people aged 18 and under, the advice is 3 days.

For education and childcare settings from Friday 1 April:

  • Regular asymptomatic testing is no longer recommended in any education or childcare setting, including in SEND, alternative provision and children’s social care settings. Therefore, we will no longer be able to order test kits .

Summary

Take your Spanish language skills to the next level with our Intermediate Spanish course. Building upon the foundation laid in the Pre-Intermediate Spanish course, this program is designed for individuals who are interested in learning Spanish for travel, personal enrichment, or pure enjoyment. Ideally, you should already feel comfortable using Spanish in the present tense, although individuals with prior experience in speaking Spanish can also benefit from adding depth to their linguistic skills.

How will I learn?

Our Intermediate Spanish course provides a face-to-face learning experience, allowing for interactive and engaging instruction. Throughout the course, you'll explore various topics, such as providing personal information, discussing daily routines and workdays, talking about leisure interests and planning activities, enquiring about renting properties, describing past holidays, expressing feelings, and making suggestions. By actively participating in class discussions, completing exercises, and practicing conversational skills, you'll enhance your ability to communicate confidently in Spanish. Entry Requirements

To enrol in the Intermediate Spanish course, it is recommended that you have successfully completed the Pre-Intermediate Spanish course or possess a similar level of proficiency where you can comfortably use Spanish in the present tense. This course is suitable for learners who have prior experience in speaking Spanish and are eager to deepen their linguistic skills. As part of the course materials, you will be required to purchase the BBC Talk Spanish book 2, which includes accompanying CDs. Your Spanish tutor will provide you with specific details on purchasing the book. Join us on this face-to-face learning journey and elevate your Spanish language abilities to an intermediate level. By the end of the three terms, you'll be well-equipped to confidently communicate and navigate your chosen Spanish-speaking destination. Note: This course has a £120 non-refundable enrolment fee to all learners.
