Summary
In Foundation futures learners will work towards an appropriate level of qualification to develop personal skills and knowledge around their individual EHCP outcomes and Preparing For Adulthood goals. The program will support the development of SEMH, English and maths.
What do I need to join?
No previous qualifications are necessary, it is likely learners will have an EHCP or MyPlan(+)
Maths & English
Learners will have the opportunity to improve English and maths by studying a suitable qualification at an appropriate level.
Work Experience
As part of the overall programme of study, learners may be required to undertake a period of work placement related to the field of employment they wish to enter, or have an interest in. Our Work Placement Team will assist learners in gaining a placement and ensure that you are on track to achieve, whilst liaising with your course tutors to ensure that the opportunity to practice necessary employability skills is available at college.
What can I do next?
Learners are encouraged to progress on to the next level of appropriate study and continue to develop key skills, behaviours and knowledge within Foundation studies. They will also continue to develop English and maths.
