Summary
The Woodwork course is designed for both beginners and individuals looking to improve their woodworking skills. This art-focused course will introduce you to the tools and machinery used in a wood workshop, and you will learn various techniques such as joints, marquetry, cutting, and drilling. Through a series of smaller projects, such as a tik tac toe board, a set of veneer coasters, and a small tool box, you will practice and master these techniques. Additionally, the course culminates in a larger project where you will have the opportunity to create a finished piece, such as a jewellery box or a bird box. This course provides a hands-on learning experience, allowing you to develop your woodworking skills and produce beautiful and functional wooden creations.

Course fees explained
The course fee is usually broken down into three components which are materials (resources required to study the course, for example stationery, books and other equipment), tuition (teaching, classroom etc) and exams. Depending on age, financial circumstances and a number of other factors, you could be asked to pay the full fee or just elements of it. Usually Learners under 19 studying Full-Time courses have just material fees, and if relevant, Academy fees, to pay. Over 19s on Full-Time or Part-Time courses usually have materials, exams and tuition fees to pay.
