Information Dates and EnrolmentSummary
This three-day pottery course will set you up with the fundamental skills of hand building with porcelain. Under the guidance of your tutor Jessica who has been working and developing her own skills of using porcelain for over ten years, you will be supported through the creating process to successfully make your own works. The course will cover -Step by step how to successfully prepare and roll out the clay -How to join and build objects with porcelain -How to make your own templates for slab building -Using colored porcelain slips to decorate your work including -Slip decoration techniques -Inlay -Sgraffito -Mono printing with slip You will come away with knowledge of how to work with porcelain and a selection of your own finished porcelain creations to be proud of.
How will I learn?
Through hands on lessons and creative demonstrations in sessions. You will be supported by the tutor in creating your own ideas and provided tasks to follow and adapt!

Course fees explained
The course fee is usually broken down into three components which are materials (resources required to study the course, for example stationery, books and other equipment), tuition (teaching, classroom etc) and exams. Depending on age, financial circumstances and a number of other factors, you could be asked to pay the full fee or just elements of it. Usually Learners under 19 studying Full-Time courses have just material fees, and if relevant, Academy fees, to pay. Over 19s on Full-Time or Part-Time courses usually have materials, exams and tuition fees to pay.
