Natural dyeing is an ancient sustainable craft that we can help preserve. This technique allows you to collaborate with the nature and has a meditative approach. This course is an advanced course for people familiar with basic natural dyeing techniques. You will learn three different methods of applying plant patterns and colour to fabric which will be demonstrated in this lesson: Bundle Dyeing, Eco Printing, and Tatakizome, or Leaf Printing. Every method is a little bit different, and the outcomes are always exquisitely unique.
How will I learn?
You will learn by observing demonstrations, group discussions, and by exploring new techniques with expert support. You will learn a great deal by experimenting and recording your own progress. Your tutor will always check your progress and help you with technical solutions.
Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements for this course. However, you will need access to a computer, the internet, an interest in the subject and enthusiasm to learn.

You'll have the opportunity to: · Learn how to prepare the fabric for natural dyeing. · You will learn three different techniques of natural dyeing Bundle Dyeing, Eco Printing, and Tatakizome, or Leaf Printing. · Discover how to make your own dyes at home. · Create and use a natural dye journal.

Course fees explained
The course fee is usually broken down into three components which are materials (resources required to study the course, for example stationery, books and other equipment), tuition (teaching, classroom etc) and exams. Depending on age, financial circumstances and a number of other factors, you could be asked to pay the full fee or just elements of it. Usually Learners under 19 studying Full-Time courses have just material fees, and if relevant, Academy fees, to pay. Over 19s on Full-Time or Part-Time courses usually have materials, exams and tuition fees to pay.
