South Gloucestershire and Stroud College offers a vast range of courses across our five campuses, so whether you want to study GCSEs or A levels, develop skills while you learn on an apprenticeship, or progress to a higher education course, you’ve come to the right place.
Our campuses provide a warm welcome, and a friendly, dynamic atmosphere, where learning is fun and you’re sure to fit in and make lasting friendships.
Our students are represented by our active student council, so you can be sure your suggestions for improving college life will be listened to and acted upon. You can also raise ideas and issues in your course team meetings, or directly with your tutor or learning mentor.
Our staff are passionate about teaching, and about helping you develop new skills and learning that will enable you to face the future with confidence, whether you choose to move on to higher education or employment.
We believe in the importance of a healthy lifestyle, and offer a range of tasty, healthy food in our refectory, restaurant, diner and coffee shops. Our sports facilities are second to none, so whether you choose to study a sport-related course, or simply take part in sporting activity during your spare time, there’s something for everyone, from the Bristol Academy of Sport to the unrivalled facilities at our WISE campus.
We have a thriving enrichment programme across our campuses, offering extra classes, trips, events and other activities. Students can also take advantage of the latest hair and beauty treatments at competitive prices in our Perfect Image Hair and Beauty Salon at SGS Filton, and Envy Hair and Beauty Salon at SGS Stroud.
Our student union is responsible for organising many of the College’s exciting enrichment activities, including our freshers’ fayre, days out, and many other activities throughout the year. It’s run by students for students, and gives you the chance to make your own contribution to day-to-day life at the College.
Our learner services team are here to support you during your time at college, and are always on hand to answer any questions you may have about your course, your future career, travel or money issues. The College chaplain visits once a week to provide support for all faith groups, and you can get help and advice on personal or health issues from our visiting nurse or College counsellor, or from our online counselling service.
